Angelo Thomas is a writer, filmmaker, and mental health activist. The course of Angelo’s career changed at the moment he released “To a Life Worth Living,” an autobiographical short film documenting his journey to recovery from anorexia. Since then, Angelo has written and published “The Incredible Jake Parker,” a critically acclaimed young adult novel on the topic of eating disorders, and is also the writer, director, and producer of the upcoming feature film adaptation. He is a spokesperson for The Center for Balanced Living and an ambassador for the National Association of Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders (ANAD). Angelo also works with the National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA), speaking at NEDA walks and conferences across the country to inspire and empower others to pursue their own lives worth living.
